An obsessive reader with Western roots
Who was looking for stories that felt like home
Whitney Popa comes from a long line of librarians and book lovers from all over the West (Washington, Idaho, and California, mostly). Her first “job” was collecting book orders from her 2nd-grade classmates. As the library volunteer in middle school, she was the first person in her school to read Harry Potter. Books have always been her favorite companions, teachers, and dreammakers. Our West is where she shares her stories alongside art from other West-based storytellers. If she’s not reading or writing, she’s probably driving a backroad with the windows down and the music up.
